Stephen has held an extensive career within the cosmetic industry, spanning a 30 year period. He has represented a leading French cosmetic company for a period of 10 years and was responsible in a variety of roles. As Public Relations and Media Executive, Stephen presented products on numerous morning television shows and to the Beauty Press. His role as National Promotions Manager consisted of managing a promotional team to execute in-store Department Store sales demonstrations and his position as Education Manager involved training retail sales staff / salon’s in all aspects of product knowledge for his company and new product launch introductions.
Shortly thereafter, Stephen Co-founded Australia’s largest promontion agency, in the role as Managing Director, his Promotions agency supplied well trained Casual Sales and Promotional Staff exclusively representing the Cosmetic Industry, the Corporate Sector and exclusive representation of the entire Alcohol Industry for the domestic Australian market.
Regarding Cosmetic’s, Stephen’s agency was responsible for launching exclusively, every unit of Skin Care, Fragrance and Make Up for the entire cosmetic industry over a 7 year period. The “Work Link” Training Program became recognised nationally by the Cosmetic Industry and also attained the status of the agency of choice for David Jones, Myer, Target, K Mart, Coles, Priceline, Big W, Duty Free outlets and large pharmacy chains for Australian and New Zealand.
Stephen successfully managed an Internal Staff of 12 managing his offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane while supplying over 3,000 sales staff annually for both casual and permanent placements in cosmetic companies.
Major achievements include representing such companies as Estee Lauder, Prescriptives, Sothys – Paris, Cellex C, Self Care Group NZ at worldwide Beauty Expos and Sales Seminars. As an industry key note speaker both nationally and internationally, Stephen has presented on topics including Sales Management, Sales and Selling Techniques and Motivation Techniques to industry peers, beauty therapists, sales staff and those looking to enter the beauty industry.
Throughout his career, Stephen has developed an intimate knowledge of all brands within the cosmetic industry including Skincare, Make-up, Fragrance and Beauty-Salon Specific Treatment Products and has gained considerable knowledge of what products work and what does not. Currently Stephen is the owner and operator of “The Beauty Lounge” in Rozelle, Sydney, a high end beauty salon and Medi Spa with corporate, beauty editors, film and television star clientelle, offering a full range of beauty and medical treatments.
